Guillermo del Toro cast Jacob Elordi in his Frankenstein movie which is an interesting choice considering Elordi is mostly known for pretty boy roles in Euphoria and The Kissing Booth, del Toro usually goes for character actors who can disappear into weird creature designs and gothic atmospheres, but Elordi has the height and physicality to pull off the monster if del Toro leans into the tragic romantic side of the story instead of pure horror, could be a breakout role that shows he has more range than people give him credit for or it could be a mismatch between actor and director, either way del Toro has earned enough trust to try something unexpected with his casting choices.
