As You Stood By on Netflix looks like your typical murder thriller at first but it gets way darker than that, this Korean series is about two childhood friends Eun su and Hui su who plan to kill an abusive husband, sounds straightforward right, wrong, the whole thing turns into this psychological nightmare about how abuse never really leaves you even when you think you escaped it, the show starts strong but gets messy in the later episodes with too many subplots, still worth watching though cause the performances are insane and it stays with you after you finish it, not your usual weekend binge type of shit.
