Just like you, when the pandemic started I analyzed the behavior of the masses in relation to toilet paper, I guess the nerves are reflected for the most part by the stomach causing diarrhea and large consumption of paper.
In my country we went through that a long time ago. So when the pandemic came I didn't need the paper, here nobody uses that anymore, it's very expensive, a luxury.
Most people use soap and water.
I try to write a lot on live, to buy my paper.
Anyway, I better finish my comment that started with economic concerns and ended with toilet paper.

Yes Vz has experienced hyperinflation and misappropriation of the economy for several years now, I know you already know this stuff... It is life there.
