I haven't been making that many videos recently. When I do, I'd choose 3Speak over DTube. Using DTube is just throwing 10% of the payout away.

You can post on Dtube without posting on HIVE or Steem. Just log out of your hive account.
It seems to work a little better without being logged into Hive but there isn't much I can do without bandwidth. I don't have any interest in buying DTube Coins.
I logged into DTube with my Steem account and I have a DTube Coin airdrop in my notifications. I tried to claim it but it goes to Steem Keychain which isn't working.
Keychain worked for me. Try asking in their discord
