Spinvest-leo weekly update post - 13 April 2024

in LeoFinance17 days ago

Welcome to this weeks update from the @spinvest-leo account. This wallet manages a small portion of the overall @spinvest fund, and sends HIVE back to @spinvest each week to contribute to the pool of funds for dividends. This wallet is managed by @jk6276. The main focus of this account is to generate yield to contribute to the weekly dividends for holders of SPI tokens. 50% of the income generated each week is sent to @spinvest to contribute to the weekly dividend. Currently, we are compounding all income earned, so transferring funds to @spinvest is not happening. The wallets funds are split between HIVE based assets, with SPS, BXT, LEO, and HIVE stakes, plus a position in the SIM/HIVE liquidity pool. The other half of this wallets funds are in the Cosmos eco-system, building an ATOM stake, alongside DYM and liquidity pools on Dymension.

Position changes this week:

No changes this week. I've done the steps required to burn the vexPOLYCUB for LEO, so that should appear next week I'm guessing. Other than that, I've started compounding the SPS back into the SPS/HIVE LP. Won't buy any more, but it can compound there with spare HIVE, and I'm doing the same with SIM and COLONY, which has just started to airdrop for SPS stakers. It is pretty much worthless at this point, so I won't add on to the balance sheet until/if it ever becomes valuable. No plans to buy any.

Current holdings:

HIVE Assets:

  • SPS Staked - $688 - down $64

  • SIM/HIVE pool - $423 - down $37

  • Staked BXT - $695 - down $117

  • Staked LEO - $83 - up $24

  • HIVE Power - $336 - down $33

Total for HIVE wallet: $2225 - down $224

Cosmos Assets:

  • DYM/stTIA - $512 - down $189

  • DYM/ATOM - $544 - down $157

  • DYM/WBTC - $199 - down $36

  • ATOM stake - $157 - down $10

  • DYM stake - $746 - down $315

Total for Cosmos wallets: $2158 - down $707 😢

Asset exposure

Using the above values, and splitting pool positions into their components, we can calculate the total exposure to each asset for this wallet.

  • SPS - $688 - 15.70%

  • HIVE - $548 - 12.49%

  • SIM - $212 - 4.83%

  • BXT - $695 - 15.86%

  • LEO - $83 - 1.89%

  • DYM - $1374 - 31.34%

  • stTIA - $256 - 5.84%

  • ATOM - $429 - 9.79%

  • BTC - $100 - 2.27%

Portfolio Split this week:

  • HIVE: $2225 - 50.76%
  • Cosmos: $2158 - 49.24%

Commentary:

Ouch.

Cosmos assets have been clobbered this week, mostly in the last 12 hours before this report. Our Hive wallet is down much less, so it takes over today as bigger in $ terms than Cosmos.

Next week should be better,

DYM, which I have us exposed to quite aggressively between staking and pools got hit hard. I think it will recover, once its use case comes to life which should happen this month. Waiting for an expected chain upgrade, which should happen in a week or so, and then "rollapps" can start launching giving us potentially multiple airdrops and DYM growth.

Time will tell if this will work or not, but I have confidence it should be ok. Till the chain upgrade, DYM is just an inflating reward token, and we all know what happens to those. Apps launching, and real activity beyond liquidity farming should change the "down only" trend of this position.

Totals and conclusion:

  • Total asset value last week: $5314
  • Total asset value this week: $4282
  • Weekly gain/loss: Down $931

Currently compounding 100%, so no funds sent to @spinvest for dividends.

Thanks for taking the time to read our weekly update. If you would like to learn more about @spinvest, and the $SPI token, check out the main account and review the weekly update post.
