Spinvest-leo weekly update post - 9 Mar 24

in LeoFinance2 months ago

Welcome to this weeks update from the @spinvest-leo account. This wallet manages a small portion of the overall @spinvest fund, and sends HIVE back to @spinvest each week to contribute to the pool of funds for dividends. This wallet is managed by @jk6276. The main focus of this account is to generate yield to contribute to the weekly dividends for holders of SPI tokens. 50% of the income generated each week is sent to @spinvest to contribute to the weekly dividend. Primary holdings are positions in SPS liquidity pools, other BeeSwap pools, along with some Hive engine based investments.

Position changes this week:

Major changes this week. I posted yesterday detailing what changes I had made and have moved some more funds since then. The goal is to build a position on a new chain called Dymension $DYM, and leverage my personal knowledge of the Cosmos eco-system for the benefit of Spinvest holders. Anyway, that post yesterday goes into all the details, so I won't repeat them. Since that post, I have pulled some more funds out of liquidity pools on HIVE, and added to our staked DYM. There is a very high likelihood of airdrops coming to DYM stakers, as well as a chance for LP providers, so I am keen to move quickly to position us for that.

Time will tell now if this was a good move.

Current holdings:

  • SPS/BNB pool - $0 - removed all funds.

  • SPS/HIVE pool - $531 - removed a small amount

  • SPS/ETH pool - $1462 - untouched (up $159 on last week)

  • SPS Staked - $1002 - added funds (from SPS/BNB pool)

  • SIM/HIVE pool - $518 - removed a small amount

  • BXT/HIVE pool - $0 - removed all funds

  • ZING/HIVE pool - $479 - untouched (up $43 from last week)

  • Staked BXT - $860 - untouched (up $70 from last week)

  • Staked LEO - $39 - up $8

  • HIVE Power - $403 - up $52

  • Miscellaneous - $0 - Basically, I'll no longer track this. There is a little vexPOLYCUB, BNB and ETH liquid still in wallets, but it is really not worth the effort each week so won't be tracked.

  • New Positions:

  1. DYM/stTIA - $480
  2. DYM/ATOM - $473
  3. DYM stake - $559

Asset exposure

Using the above values, and splitting pool positions into their components, we can calculate the total exposure to each asset for this wallet.

  • SPS - $1999 - 29.36%

  • ETH - $731 - 10.74%

  • HIVE - $1167 - 17.15%

  • SIM - $259 - 3.81%

  • BXT - $860 - 12.64%

  • ZING - $240 - 3.52%

  • LEO - $39 - 0.57%

  • DYM - $1036 - 15.21%

  • stTIA - $240 - 3.53%

  • ATOM - $237 - 3.47%

Commentary:

After last weeks big jump, I thought things might chill a bit this week, but it appears not. Overall we are up almost 9%, despite transaction fees from moving funds around and basically ignoring some of our very minor holdings. It will be interesting to watch the value of the Dymension portion of the wallet as a separate amount. I basically moved exactly $1500 in funds over, in two stages. Lets see how what comes of this. At the time of publication, it is worth $1512 - so not much change in a few days.

Income may drop a bit more in the short run. The DYM funds will be compounding 100% for a while, as shifting small amounts of yield back to HIVE is troublesome. My goal is to build it up, diversify into more Cosmos assets like ATOM, OSMO and others and if we hit a nice airdrop, maybe send some back to @spinvest as a special dividend or something. Anyway, lets see what happens.

Totals and conclusion:

  • Total asset value last week: $6252
  • Total asset value this week: $6806
  • Weekly gain/loss: up $554

36.237 HIVE sent to @spinvest for weekly dividends.

Thanks for taking the time to read our weekly update. If you would like to learn more about @spinvest, and the $SPI token, check out the main account and review the weekly update post.

p.s. Just want to add in here that we are already qualifying for an airdrop. STRIDE is a liquid staking platform for numerous Cosmos assets. They are heavily incentivizing use of stTIA with their native token STRD. Snapshots happen daily of all stTIA holdings across a number of DeFi platforms (including Dymension). Snapshots over 6 months will allocate $STRD and then release each day for 6 months (I think).

This is one of the reasons that I selected the stTIA pool. $STRD is another asset I'm looking forward to building up in time for @spinvest. That 1.6 that we have accrued so far is currently worth nearly $7 (in under a week).
