Travala

Travala posted a new report for February 2022, and the numbers are really impressive. In a period when global traveling was still suffering from COVID restrictions, the company managed to show solid growth. The number of nights booked increased by 17% compared to January and even exceeded bookings of December 21 by 5%. The number of flights increased even more by 44% compared to January and 17% compared to December.
Astonishing year-on-year revenue growth of 374% compared to February 2021 was reported.

Travel Tigers

9,623,450 AVA are locked by 7,134 smart members program representing 19.04% of the AVA circulating supply. It might be interesting to go a bit more into detail here, as since this very month there is a new Smart member category, that bought the limited Travel Tiger NFT and activated it.

As you can see from the table below, exactly 785 Diamond Smart members are registered.

Smart Diamond – 785
Smart Platinum – 2,261
Smart Gold – 152
Smart Silver – 535
Smart Bronze – 1,473
Smart Steel – 1,014
Smart Basic – 914

As these are the people that qualify to get 10% of Travalas net revenue per quarter, their exact number may have an effect on the amount that is paid to every individual. I am still very curious to know, how much every Smart Diamond member is "available to claim by performing marketing tasks to promote Travala.com" - as well as what these marketing tasks will look like. Answer to these questions may have a direct effect on the floor price of the Travel Tiger NFTs. Currently a few of them are offered for 3,2 ETH on Opensea.

The community pool has been filled again with 3% of revenue for February 2021, representing 102,914 AVA worth $150,254, and with 50% of secondary sale royalties for February 2021 representing 28,853 AVA worth $42,125. So in total 131,767 AVA has been added to the community pool for February. Curious about what that pool will be used for, but one can think of a lot of things that would make traveling more convenient for smart members, i.e. access to business lounges.

The number of monthly active users (MAU) in February exceeded 250,000 and bookings were made over Desktop (50%), Mobile Apps (33%), Mobile Web (11%), and Binance Marketplace (6%). 78% of all bookings in February were paid with cryptocurrencies

This is still one of the most interesting real-world-use cases for crypto-currencies to date. The growth is more than solid, given the difficult time the whole travel industry is in. With the track record of continuous development and community engagement, this will soon be reflected also in the price of AVA.
