There are Youtube shorts popping up in everybody's feeds talking about how rotten the SA government is, quoting statistics and facts and figures and they (opposition) are getting more and more abrupt in their message. With a vote coming up and the knowledge that the present administration are not or never going to get ousted. Do you think they see that as confirmation to continue to "be corrupt"? Is the morality of this leadership just going to get get worse? Aagh hell, too many negative questions. Apologies.

I think social media can definitely amplify those feelings, but it doesn't always reflect the full picture. Politicians usually pay attention to public opinion, even if it doesn't seem like it, because sustained criticism can affect future elections and public trust. Whether things improve or get worse really depends on how much accountability voters, the media, and independent institutions can maintain over time. Freecell Solitaire
