NIGERIAN SALARY AND WORK SYSTEM || HOW I FEEL ABOUT IT

in LeoFinance4 years ago

Today when I came up on Hive still no sure on what content to write about, I bumped up on a post by @young-boss-karin here talking about her being unemployed. Feel free to check her blog and leave her some support. This inspired me to share my thoughts and how workers are being paid here.

Nigeria is a developing country with little number jobs available for a very large amount of people both graduates and undergraduates. Truth is being a graduate here in Nigeria (maybe also in other countries as well) do not guarantee anyone a well paid job as many go to school because it is said that it is only those who are fully educated can have well paid job after school.

Moreover, jobs with good salaries are only reserved to those who knows somebody and not really by educational level or if it is related to what you study at all. For instance, taking the bank for example; you can find someone who studied chemistry in the university working in the bank and possibly earning a high paid salary.

If anyone is lucky enough to get a job, most of the salaries available in a month is about #30,000 naira ($62.5). It is very rare to get a job of about $200 about (96000 naira) here which is reserved for those who knows somebody. It does pains a lot that people are not paid well even after going through a lot of stress studying in the school.

Coming down to blockchain blogging, it would surely pay anybody from my country who takes blogging seriously and and earns up to $62.5 a month, as compared to the normal 8am to 7pm daily jobs with the same salary. This platform provides a lot of opportunity to me personally as I am a student because over here, it is impossible to work and study not to even mention studying and earning more than graduates who does 8am - 7pm jobs.

You know, that orientation has been in so many persons head, that, you need to go to school first before you can get a high paying job, back in the day, that was true, but not anymore. I always try to make the present day generations (my students) understand that, they should get Education because they want to be a solutions to the society rather them becoming graduates that go around with files sourcing for jobs. Hence the reason I aways have what I call Money Talk with them, making them understand the importance of learning a skill and trying to always post their skills to work. If you get a 9-5 job, that's great but the ability to know how to create is even better. We want graduates that create solutions instead of graduates that only want to job hunt. Thanks for sharing your thought, and you just gave me an idea for my next post.

Smile. Truth, you are giving them the right set of mind to look at school.. Just like I got inspired to write this post, you too did. Thanks for coming by bro.

The old folks didn't lie when they said Education is the Key, but they lied when they said, Go to school, get a good grade and then you will get a good job. These young once need the right Education, they need to understand the importance of Education, they need good Education to become a solution to society, and I always try my best to teach them about the real world aside the normal mathematics and Further mathematics I teach them. I have taste the real world, and it ain't pretty, and I want them to be strong and ready for it.

I am sure your students would enjoy your company because of the life experiences you expose to them. Impacting them not just in studies but life itself.

Well, their company is also a blessing to me too. And you are right, because they long stop seeing me as their teacher and they see me more as a friend now. My brother, one way or another, these generation gat know that the life is not always Rosey.

If I knew blockchain when I was in school, I would have dropped out and invested my school fees.

You pointed out the real problem of underdeveloping countries where there are less job opportunities and low wages. Blogging on paid platform can be an additional source of earning along with job as it is difficult to earn handsomefrom blogging platform if you don't have enough links. Linking and supporting each other is very important in such platform. In this way, one can grow. I like the way people are utilizing this platform for the source of earning. You are doing a great job here. You are source of inspiration for many. Keep it up and best of luck

🤗🤗🤗... Thanks a billion, not only for the comments but for your support. I really do appreciate.

OMG 62 Dollars per month? I feel you brother! When I went into Myanmar in 2011, it was the same, but after much work. The average went up to around 200/month and you can find mid level to high post earning up to 2000/month just after 5 short years.

This is all because of one factor and one factor only. i call it the squeeze your own people syndrome.
