The social media universe 2020 - and Hive

Dear Hivers and Leonians!

I apologize in advance for not posting about LEO or KOINOS :)

The Visual Capitalist recently published their 2020 update on the social media universe. Here are the Top21:

The Top10 are exclusively dominated by US and China! Not a surprise that Facebook is still the No.1, but WhatsApp overtook Youtube and is now second. And Tiktok pushed into the Top10. Europe is not contributing at all.

To visualize, here are the Top21 shown as planets:

And what about Hive?
Hive has currently less than 27K monthly active users (MAUs), according to the latest stats report from @arcange. Let´s assume for now that MAUs are calculated the same like above. That´s app. 1/4000 compared to the 21^th ranked. So if I wanted to add the Hive planet, it would have MUCH LESS than one pixel in diameter - impossible to even see on this graph!

So lot of potential to grow still - if we would grow at all. I hope Leofinance can do better than Hive in terms of user growth!
