James Howells, becomes a popular name in crypto world and garnered a good amount of name for himself. Not because of being a crypto billionaire but for a different reason. He is the man who accidentally threw out the hard drive containing 8,000 bitcoins in 2013.
James Howells an information technology engineer from Neeport Wales threw away a pen drive containing the private keys to access his bitcoin. Now, the value of the hard drive stands at roughly $176 million.
Too retrieve his old pen drive, James Howells has comes up with an $11-million master plan to get his cryptocurrency back. Looking at the enormous Bitcoin value, his plan does not seem so crazy. 😅
The plan was made with the help of expert advisors and secured funding via two venture capitalists. It budgets for two robotic "Spot" dogs from Boston Dynamics ($74,500 per unit), "Satoshi" and "Hal".
However, Howells has been consistently denied access to the landfill since 2013, because of various reasons and his chances still look slim...
