I am applying the same strategy, although with some tweaks.
I keep accumulating Hive Power until Hive reaches $1. At that moment in time I will start my power down and swap hive for hbd which I'll put in savings. As it takes 13 weeks to fully power down, I will spread my swaps to hbd, kind of like a dca strategy. If the price of Hive rises further, I'll be able to take advantage, if $1 would be the new hight, than I converted some and will keep the rest in Hive Power.
I'll ofcourse adapt to market conditions as well :)
