Dollar 💵 King - maybe stables like HBD are a good move...

Here in the UK 🇬🇧 we're being clobbered in terms of the valuation of our £GBP... It's almost like we're an emerging economy rather than a major!

The sterling collapse seems to have been properly triggered by a fairly reckless mini budget announcement with a string of tax cuts - to be financed with (yet more) debt!

The world markets didn't like it - not one bit. Sterling dropped to almost parity with the usd. We're not out of the woods yet either - there's still a lot further to go (probably downward...).

Plus interest rates set to rocket up no doubt...

I don't think many other western major economies can be too complacent either (maybe aside from the US in the short term).

With inflation rampant, it is difficult to know where to turn. It's really all about capital preservation right now. Usd in the short term perhaps, maybe shifting into stables (so wishing I'd done that when btc hit $69k!)🤣.

HBD may be good and maybe even physical assets. These are strange times. Just as we come out of covid, we really didn't need this. It's a perfect storm.

Sort:

I am in favour of HBD and I think that it will turn out to be a great decentralized stable coin. Rest we need to wait and see

Yeah, I like HBD too. It's done pretty well at holding its peg in the last year or so
