Introduction
Just a quick thank you for those of you that have already supported us by getting yourself some sub coin! We have sold roughly 11k tokens already which is around 22% of the total supply already gone and we have only just started!
We wanted to do a more detailed post now around what we are expecting to earn from what we are doing. This is not an easy thing to predict and there are some unknowns within this, however there are some figures we can start to put together. The beauty of music is that you only need one song to be picked up and go viral or be used in an advert and it is a game changer. While we have had this happen before we also work on some bottom line figures for the work we do. These are what we wanted to share with you today.
Tokenomics
SUBs will only be able to be bought off the market for 1 hive each, there is a maximum supply of 50k tokens. We will sell them in 10k tranches.
Finances
What we will do with funds:
- No Hive will be taken off chain from sales.
- We will power up all HP to ensure we have a strong account and the token is asset backed to the buying price of 1 hive.
- HP will be delegated to the best paying APR projects to secure an ongoing income which will be used primarily to fund small promotions for the music.
What is the deal?
The 50k Tokens sold represent 50% of the mechanical rights of the whole album including instrumental mixes. So by owning 1000 SUB tokens you own 1% of this
- All tokens will be sold at 1 hive. There are no trades or OTC deals.
- The album will consist of 12 songs
- There will also be an instrumental version of each song
- There will be various remixes of the songs, details to be confirmed nearer the release date
- The album will be released in September 2024
Dividends
This is purely a dividend token and will pay dividends until September 1st 2027, at which point we will stop paying any dividends and we will power down and offer to buy back all tokens for the original price of 1 hive, until 31st December 2027. We believe all things should have an end point and this seems like a good place to finish off.
Dividend income will be collected via the methods listed below. You will receive payments in Hive, once per calendar month.
- You will receive monthly divs from 4 months after the album launch and they will be paid monthly.
- You will receive dividends from all NFT sales on Rising Star and NFT showroom as well as any other NFT projects we use.
- You will receive dividends from all mechanical streaming royalties from all streaming services such as Spotify, Amazon etc as well as the use of the video in things like You Tube of Instagram Reels.
- You will receive dividends from all download sales; these will be available for download from our website and from Amazon and Beatport.
- You will receive dividends from any sample sales or sample kits we use making the album.
- You will receive dividends from any direct pay-outs from licensing the songs to film, TV and media.
Financial projections
Everything below is just a prediction. We do not have crystal balls, and sales/streams/revenue/life events could change completely. However, one of the key mechanisms of this project is that all revenue generated from token sales will remain on-chain, publicly visible, and will be available to buy back the token in the time frame stated above.
NFT sales
We will be selling 24 music NFTs (minimum) at 4 Hive each this will be through Rising Star. Based on previous sales we predict to sell between 25 -100 of each. If we sell 1200 NFTs on a rising star we would make an income of 4800 Hive.
We will be selling 13 NFT pieces of art work this will be sold on NFT showroom limited to 5 copies per piece and will be sold at 30 hive each so a possible revenue of 1950 Hive
So with sales of NFTs on Hive we could potentially raise 6750 Hive . This could be more as we will be minting remixes and gif NFTs to go along with the album, all of which will be added to token holder dividends.
Streaming Revenue
We would be expecting over 50k Streams on each of the songs that would pay on Spotify around $200. If we would achieve this on 24 songs that would give an income from streaming of around $4800 or at current prices around 15,000 Hive. Additionally we have yet to confirm remixes and these will be included within the dividends.
Samples sales
We will be selling sample packs of the songs for people to use. These will be sold on our website.. This will allow non commercial usage of the samples and will be sold at $5 each. This is hard for us to project the numbers for as we are currently only selling our loops on Producer Loops and is a new venture for us. However we would hope to be selling 10-20 minimum a month and then grow this through advertising and marketing. We are just starting to sell loops on our website in the next month or so and in 18 months we should be able to make better financial projections. Conservatively I would put 50 songs a month at $250 or $4800 over 2 years which is currently 15000 Hive
Non exclusive licensing
We do a lot of exclusive licensing for various things involving film and tv. We will be pushing this towards a number of non exclusive libraries and will sell the license for people to use it for their projects. This is a very unknown income stream as it is a numbers game in that the more songs you have in the game the more likely you are to get it picked up. We will be making all songs and instrumentals and remixes available for licensing.
Conclusion
We hope this clarifies some of what we are doing and there is lots more information to share about the project at a later point. We are always happy to answer questions or come and talk on your show, podcast or video if you do one. We hope to achieve what we have set out to do and more!
