I think making predictions from a realistic perspective helps a lot with managing expectations. Looking for the next 20x or 50x coin is becoming harder as the market gets saturated with more crypto projects launching their tokens. Looking at trends and narratives can help a bit in tipping the odds a bit into our favor.

Yes, it's better to manage ones expectations. I don't doubt that the market will do wonders in 6 to 12 months time, but it's just better to realistically look at how well the market should do.
There's also this sentiment that the market may surprise us in a really good way but I'm personally not betting much on that.
It's all hopes at this moment, there's probably nothing we can do other than hope the market will do its thing
