Good bosses nurture talent for company benefit, not their own. It is far more valuable for the company and ultimately, for the boss too, but short-term there is a cost.
but I'm also not naive to think that things will be glorious forever.
Wouldn't be nice to have 40-50 years of glory and then retire? :D
