Shares on social media drove traffic that way, then those people stuck around to see more.
Suggested to them by a bot trying to maximize advertising revenue. And they still stay there....

Near the end of my previous life, it was my job to go around pitching ideas meant to turn a mess into a success. Eventually I ran out of problems to solve. Pitching nearly the same idea here for the past few years is turning into a nightmare. In a decentralized world, pitching an idea doesn't mean it's the only model to follow, it's simply one of many; but more often than not pitching an idea in a decentralized world is met with the centralized state of mind where people can't see beyond what's in front of them.
