I think they all work in together - people who entertain themselves with low-grade, valueless activity, tend not to have financial security.
However, I can claim that social media might have caused us to be prone to being alone.
For sure. I have written so many times about it over the last years, based on the last decade or two of watching, but people keep denying it... :D
