AI is changing everything.
It is a phrase that I keep writing. There is so much going on, the tentacles are spreading so far, that it is hard to keep up. Industries are about to be obliterated and people aren't even aware of it.
At the top of the list is Hollywood. This is something I predicted a couple years ago when the actors (and writers) both went on strike. At that time, I cited the fact they people did not understand technological curves as the reason for their downfall. Many thought they did well.
Ultimately, they just saw their fates sealed.
It is now coming out that we are in an era whereby jobs are hard to come by. Eventually, this will spread to most industries. For now, we will simply focus upon content creation and influencers.
AI Is Crushing Hollywood
Have you heard of Tilly Norwood?
She is the latest "hottie" to catapult into the spotlight. Tilly is young, gorgeous, and an actress. There is one problem: she is AI generated.
Naturally, this has human actresses scared to death. If Tilly becomes a hit, the future for the traditional starlet is bleak. While there will always be some market for humans, it will dwindle until it become niche.
The reason: money and volume.
We are entering the age of abundance. The digital world is exploding. Generative Ai is taking over the internet, penetrating every aspect of that entire system. We simply cannot overlook it anymore.
For the moment, we are still not at the point where AI generated films are the norm. In fact, most of what we are dealing with is still short in duration and a bit spotty. That said things are improving.
Before we get to feature length films, we are going to be working up the scale. When it comes to jobs, the results are the same. This all stems from the progress of these models.
Commercials
We often focus upon the movie (or television) star. Naturally, there are many who are not stars yet have managed to keep steady work.
Part of this is through commercials. Many actors and actresses do commercials as a way to keep the income flowing. Sure, some such as Samuel L. Jackson become spokespeople for certain brands, earning millions of dollars per year. For the majority, it is a gig to help pay the bills.
What happens if that disappears? With AI, that is coming quickly.
Here is a commercial that was generated completely by AI. While it is not perfect, it is good enough.
The key with this is that it was generated in 72 hours and cost only $2,000. It generated more than 10 million views online, providing a healthy return for the company.
Reverting back to the progress, let us see how the last 12 months unfolded.
This was an ad that was posted on social media for the 2024 holiday season by Coca-Cola. It was met with some positive reviews while others panned it.
As we can see, this was a bit lacking with regards to the realism. Yet, if we compare the progress made in under a year, it is astounding.
Where will things be 12 months from now.
Porn Going AI
Do not think for a second that any aspect of content creation will be spared.
We know the internet was founded for porn. Well, perhaps that is a bit of a stretch but we can state it was the biggest use case for a lot of years. Heck, it might still be the case.
It seems the adult content creation industry, including OnlyFan models, is at risk.
Surveys are starting to reveal that people (overwhelmingly men) do not care if the spicy images or videos they are watching are AI generated. The goal is visual stimulation and that is all.
Consider how this affects the entire industry. Like mainstream Hollywood, all individuals are at risk of being out of work. There are no sets, lighting crews, camera people, or performers. Even the idea of taking a cam and doing that could eventually be replaced by AI.
Will this be absolute and total? No. There will still be a market for human performers. However, in the majority of the cases, AI generation will be fine.
Go back to commercials. Is there ever a need for a human to appear in a commercial if the quality is such that it is all AI? How often do we care about that?
Of course, if Tilly Norwood becomes a sensation, she can pitch products the same as any other Hollywood actor or actress.
There is a tug-o-war going on right now. People are trying to hold onto what they can. Unfortunately for them, they will lose. The economics are simply against them.

First you say this
then you say this
Which is it? Wide-scale unemployment or abundance?
How will people put out of work by AI and living under bridges in boxes afford to pay the AI fees?
Right now AI companies are subsidizing the costs with venture money, at some point those people are going to want to see returns and all this free ride will start adding up to big costs, but there will be no alternatives left.
The transition is not going to be fun.
UBI for all. Better buy AI stocks and Tesla stocks to be safe.
Yes I wrote about Hollywood taking financial strain earlier too.

It's going to get worse as AI takes the acting and writing jobs.
A.I is taking over everything!!, hope it doesnt take my day job one day🤣
It's like in the upcoming days we won't need any actor or actress also as AI is capable to do so.
