SURGE as a perpetual bond. I didn't see it that way. I wonder why ChatGPT describes it as a hybrid between debt and equity.

Question on the yield on SURGE...
So around the 5 minute mark, someone has made $40K on BTC and buys $SURGE. At this point in time, SURGE is $4 so they get 10K SURGE for their $40K. All good so far.
Then you say they will be earning 15% APR on their SURGE. But I think they actually get a fixed 15 cents (for each SURGE token) over the course of a year in HBD (or another token if they choose, was it LSTR?) which is paid out weekly. So they will earn 0.15 * 10000 = $1500. Then 1500 / 40000 = 0.0375 so I think they actually earn 3.75% yield.
Your point still holds - SURGE may be a good place to park earnings and still obtain some weekly payments. The thing to think about is, what might the price of SURGE be, and what happens to it at various prices. If it halves to 50 cents then that fixed 15 cent yield becomes 30% APR but if it doubles twice to $4 then the 15 cent yearly payment becomes 3.75% yield.
One interesting thing to imagine about SURGE is what happens in the area of $25 per token, for example. Not many will be excited to buy it with a 0.6% yield it gives at that price. ALSO they won't be happy to buy SURGE at $25 because then they need LSTR to be 50 * 25 = $1250 before their Call is In The Money.
In your example, the person is buying SURGE at $4. Would they even do that for a 3.75% yield and the need to LSTR to hit $200 for that Call to be profitable?
I think what may happen is what I think some LEO folks thinks will happen. SURGE hovers around $1 because sinking below that hikes the yield while raising above $1 lowers it. And the Call price is affected too, as in the above examples.
I'm IN SURGE so I am willing to watch and see what plays out here!
I got it at 80 cents (4 HIVE) so my yield is 18.75% and I can Call a LSTR at 50 times 80 cents = $40 or above to be in profit. That 80 cent deal is still available today!
Thanks for the video and have a nice day!
