2/ We all know the users are the ones providing the content. It is powerful to see this video discussing the value of the database. What is Hive? A decentralized database.
3/ With this, we have the situation where the data placed on Hive is not owned by anyone. It is housed on uncorrelated servers around the world. Reddit is all under the company umbrella.
4/ There is a revolt as users realize that their data is what provides the value. As they try to delete it, the company is fighting back. This is creating talking points for Web 3.
5/ This should be an awakening. All #web2 operates under the same premise. The data allowed founders and VC investors to get wealthy while the users got nothing financially.
6/ Web3 solves this while putting Hive at the center of it. We are already building our database, which gets larger by the day. This has value. From here, we just keep building and growing. It is a simple path.

Reddit is an interesting case and the entire thing about deleting/restoring data is an interesting topic. Reddit understands that if their top SEO results return bad links, it will look bad for their site.
