There are many reasons to build a business on Hive. One of the biggest is you need permission from nobody. Since the blockchain is permissionless, anyone can build.
Also, building does not solely apply to technical people or DApp developers. In fact, I maintain we need a lot more than that.

A few months ago I saw a Hiver programmer making a translation tool for the community, I thought it was amazing. The advantage I saw in this was that it added some layout to our translation, which I often use in my publications.
Then some people stopped using deepl and other translators that even though they do the same function (minus the layout) why not promote directly a tool created from Hive code?
I'm not a programmer, so I don't know the technical advantages that exist, surely I won't understand them, but hey, Hive is an open source as I understand, and if we continue like this we will have tools for everything, there is even an AI program that allows us to create images according to our content. That would be wonderful. Near future.
There certainly are some developers here who creating interesting things. I did not see what you are referring to but it sounds like a useful tool.
Very apt and timely information and wisdom you shared. Hive is a marketplace where there is a lot of transactions ongoing. Understanding how business works would give a user an advantage. I'm personally trying to build my business and brands all around Hive. Though it may take a longer time, It's an all possibility for me. I am also learning some programming skills from the scratch as that would make the interfacing more meaningful.
Programming definitely helps. However, as I am proving, it is not necessary.

Hive can be challenging you right, really challenging a person might want to give up. Building a business around hive can really go along way.. bringing an innovation in can also bring in more exposure to people about hive all over he world

I agree there's a lot of potential. We need more "techies" and developers which I am most certainly not. There is a lot of opportunity, but we need to continue to bring in new blood if you will.
