The @town-hall Witness Server is now live.
In this video I discuss why the 4 of us got together and decided to put together a Witness server. Also covered is the vision tied to it and how it will potentially impact the community.
It is also something that is tied to the monthly Town Hall Spaces that we are doing to help educate the newer members along with serve as a liason between the community and top Witnesses.

Small steps add up over time.
I've written quite long reply, but when I read it back, it sounded like I was trying to discourage you, which was not my intention, so I scrapped it all. It boiled down to the following: running a witness node is trivial, being a witness is very hard. But then there is no better way of becoming a good witness than actually becoming a witness and improving on the job. I wanted to wish you all the best, but actually I should wish you all possible disasters, because that's when things become interesting 😉
Providing guidance both for new and experinced users is a good idea!

Thank you. Glad it is being well received. Having this conduit is important. A lot of development taking place which is required. However, people often do not feel their views are being represented. Perhaps this will give them something (or someone) to turn to.
There are a lot of issues with Hive but we can address them. Communities and layer 2 will resolve a great deal. That is where people will have a few more tools to combat things.
Of course, people need to take ownership for this place. Too many are not looking at the larger picture.
