The University Ponzi Scheme And Web 3.0

▶️ Watch on 3Speak

In the United States, the upper level education system (University) is nothing more than a Ponzi Scheme. It is a way to such money in to the system and burden the younger generations with debt they cannot bankrupt out of.

I discuss, in this video, the system and how Web 3.0 is going to be an option for people. This will not only come from education opportunities online but also the potential to gain an "income". This is the true test for Web 3.0; can it replace our existing institutions?

It is strange for me that these so called universities claim that if you get a degree from them you are guaranteed to get a good/handsome job in the market and when people like you tell them it is a "Ponzi Scheme" these universities will tell you that they have a system called "Alumni" which is a group of those students that have completed their degrees and they will help each other out getting a job meaning networking. But I have seen high ranked University graduates that go to LinkedIn and end up becoming full time freelancers instead so the hard work, time and money that they spent getting a degree is all lost somehow cause in the job market you require an "Approach" from some one big.

It's a big scam and I am finally glad my daughter is seeing it. She is leaving school at the end of the year so she can at least get her credits incase she wants to go back, and to use up the scholarship money, haha.

And I think that not everyone gets a job in the end after spending so much. This prompts some to venture out on their own if they are brave enough. Others will be let down.

Harsh truth.

Nevertheless, we know that universities do not provide all the necessary tools for success in life. Thus, you are correct, web3 has the potential to be a powerful tool in education and sharing knowledge, as well as a means to generate income.

I agree that the Student debt system in the US is messed up and a Ponzi Scheme, but I can't deny the importance of universities. A lot of important jobs need to go through universities. Most if not all medical field need it. There are state universities and scholarships, but a lot of the popular universities have high tuition fees. It would be interesting to see how Web3 can help change that.

What an enlightenment! This is not only about the US, it's also in my country. They told us to get to college that we will be employed, when we finish no one answers again. Truly a ponzi scheme!

Investment or things that looks like a Ponzi scheme to me really needs to be eradicated for the safety of people because that is what protect people from making wrong decisions
