Tesla had its AI Day #2 yesterday and the Tesla bot was on display. Actually there were two different ones they brought to the event.
In this video I discuss how much progress they made in the past year. We could see the difference between the first and second generation. Obviously, when it is compared to what humans do, we are dealing with rudamentary stuff. However, Tesla is continually expanding its neural network capabilities, leading it to better training methods.
Over the next year, I expect them to get to the point where training is taking place in some of the Tesla factories. This will further feed the data it has. After a couple years of this, my guess is a company will be a beta tester, starting to train them in those factories.

Tesla is certainly making itself all kinds of reputations these days. Hard to keep up with it all!

I am not surprised that AI is working on bots because it's going to help their profit margins if they can cut out some of the human workers. At some point, I do think robots will replace a lot of the mundane tasks
