The Model 3 refresh, called Highland, is upon us. Bloomberg has reported that production will start next month in China.
In this video I discuss how this could be a major step forward. Reports are this will be 20% cheaper to make than the present Model 3. There is also a "leaked" posting that says this will have a price tag of $25K in China. We have no way to know if this is true so we will have to see the official numbers. If it is the price, this will really change things.

Just yesterday I visited Honda, because AC in my Civic stopped working (it turned out it totally broke, in a car with less than 15k km of mileage - lucky me, since it is still on warranty) and I had a chance to see new models. A 2023 Civic with comparable configuration is 40% more expensive than mine was two and a half years ago - 172k PLN which is almost 42k dollars (taxes included). Yes, it is hybrid, and yes, it has better torque due to electric motor, but everything else is pretty much the same. I know European prices are way higher than in USA and Tesla is also expensive, but it looks like it might become directly competitive with "affordable" ICE vehicles, especially that there is more likely to be some subsidy for buying electric Tesla than for hybrid Honda.
