Nothing wrong with taking some money off the table. And converting it to fiat is a practical part of things these days.
We still do almost all our purchasing in fiat (and bill paying) so it makes sense to add some to the pile when you can.

Converting my Steem to Fiat has definitely taken a load off right now. Seeing that $0 on my credit card makes me smile.
