Nurses might be needed on the spot on a face-to-face model, as patients still need the contact and some treatment is very specific and can't be automated.
I wouldnt bet on that. There is already a lot of automation taking place.

Most people would like to speak and be touched by a human, not a machine. Psychological, if a doctor/nurse is more affective, patients healed faster.
