There is no doubt the potential is there. We are likely to see a lot of experimentation in the area of governance which will start to create better models.
You are right about the lack of representation required. Our present system has those built in at every layer.
The Internet was a big breakthrough which allowed for direct activity but it was hijacked by the siloes.
We just have to keep pushing and moving things in the direction of decentralization. While many individual projects are leaning towards centralization but collectively, things are spreading out.
