It usually does. We need to cross 100 in a rapid period of time, perhaps even 150 to have a chance.
If not, we end up spending the afternoon trying to push over the 333 level.
It would be night to have that in the bag by lunch tomorrow.

Yea it seems like there will be some lag after you get off. The night hours tends to have very little activity.

I think one of the keys, tell me if you agree, is the number of "Starter" comments. The days we really hit the big numbers, I think we were able to top 50. When we do our norm, I think we are in the 30s.
So perhaps we need to focus upon getting the "topics" going strong early on and then carrying them forward.

That might be a great idea, and haven't you thought about leaving a main topic at the top of each post? and we will not necessarily have to talk all day about the subject but it can be a good point to leave some points of view and create interaction, and then if other topics arise as welcome variants, of course everything is a simple opinion with a view to comments be more and more!
In some comments that I leave throughout the community, I am taking it out of habit to leave an invitation to @leomarkettalk so maybe some of you will be curious and take a walk around here!

Main topic is kind of bad because it limits the variety of topics. We want this to be a general all-purpose area.

In that aspect yes, I only believed that as an introductory topic without limiting the variety of possible topics, only something that will revolve around a topic but not a limitation to address other topics!

It is tough and this mechanism isnt the best in the world but it is what we have.
We can add a bit more to the table. I will try to get a few more things up before the end of the night.
Maybe that will generate a bit of overnight activty.

Average comments per top_level comment . We can see for a week or so if there is any trend.

I'd like to see a little more non-crypto related top-level starter comments. I know next to nothing about technical analyisis for example, so usually skip those.

I'll try to bring a topic of conversion and get the conversations going.
As was stated above, every little bit helps.
We can get a few conversations that are interested and joined in by a few different people and we can explode the numbers.
Sometimes on topic can add 40 or 50 comments.

Hm yeah you are right . I just updated the script to add how many top level comments we had on yesterday's post . It will give us the insight we are looking for hopefully.
