Not like back in the day where you had 3 and 4 year starters throughout the top 10.

top 10 are usually sure bets. at least top 5 are most of the time. that's why i want the Raptors to make a move and get into the early round.

Yeah but would he be doing that is he had some seasoning and more coaching/mentoring.
And you done want solid NBA players in the top 3. You are looking for career organizational leaders when they are done.
that being said, i know what you mean...some of these kids just look weird playing ball at their age. I remember when we drafted this kid from Brazil...Pundits said he was a few years away, from being a few years away.
That was always the case. The Knicks spent a few first rounders on Europeans (when everyone was looking for the next Petrovic) that never panned out. Hell one never came to the states.
We had one first overall pick in our history....

Occasionally there would be the gifted high schooler such as Shawn Kemp, Kobe Bryant, Kevin Garnett, and LeBron James. Even LbJ was a rookie over 20 years ago.
