I think that goes counter to the idea. Yes reaching out to other chains is vital. However, in the end, what is going to be the account management system that developers gravitate to? Will it be ethereum? Not likely.
As Harpon wrote in his post, the trouble with ETH and EOS is the speculation made the payment to smart contract operators ie fees excessive. That makes it hard for developers to gravitate to them.
