Bitcoin is actually a shitty currency to commit crime with. Everything is transparent with the transactions. Eventually, to claim their price, they will need to get it through a bank.
Her statements were proven to be slightly wrong in the article below. Less crime involving bitcoin but they have resorted to ransomware.
