I hope they don't so far as to use people's brains as test rats. Maybe I am thinking of it too far but if this gets results, someone guy in a lab coat might just decide to use a real person.

The Pentagon and CIA already do that.
That is nothing new. Human experiments by those agencies dates back decades sadly. I am sure it is still taking place today.
