RE: Daily Crypto Markets Live Blog: Crypto Market Cap Back At $2T (08/12/21)

As opposed to another article linked in here about asteroid mining, we see progress being made with deep sea mining.

For all you precious metal people, keep an eye on this industry. It could radically affect the supply of a lot of metals. There is a lot of minerals below the ocean floor.

What types of metals do you think they are targeting? I keep hearing people talk about mining gold.

Definitely gold. Maybe silver.

I'd say gold and rare-earth elements, which are very valuable

Gold get the attention but I think it is a lot of them.

Iron is probably very prevalent.

A few years ago on History Channel there was a series dedicated to this exact topic. It took place off the coast of Alaska. I don't know if the series is still running, but the seabed mining promised to be a game-changer.

Oh I'll look for that. DOn't think I have seen it, but it's something I'd probably enjoy

Yeah that sounds like something that is up my alley too.

That is interesting. You arent referring to the gold mining shows that infected those channels. There seems to be a ton of them.

It's more like reality TV infected the History Channel. One series was titled Gold Rush, and it spun off the series which takes place in the Bering Sea.

Bering Sea Gold!

Haha, it's still a late night TV staple of mine when I can't sleep.

The ocean is full of surprises. More than eighty percent of these saltwater bodies are unexplored.
