What is Tesla Optimus?
Tesla Optimus, also referred to as the Tesla Bot, is a humanoid robot project unveiled by Tesla during its AI Day event in August 2021. Optimus is designed to be a general-purpose robot capable of performing a wide range of tasks that are repetitive, dangerous, or undesirable for humans. Tesla's vision for Optimus is to create a robot that can assist with household chores, industrial labor, and other manual tasks, ultimately aiming to address labor shortages and improve productivity.
