The AI bubble conversation is nonsense.
We are seeing the amount of compute required only escalating. People need to keep in mind that the number of units of compute that each person is using is increasing. As more AI applications come online, that will explode.
The building of data centers is a simple model: energy (power) in and tokens (compute) out.
Understanding this basis will help to sort through the noise. Couple this with the fact that robotics is also emerging, going to explode it even further.
Absolutely, the compute demand is skyrocketing with AI and robotics on the rise. By 2030, we could see data centers as critical infrastructure, turning energy into unprecedented computational power. This is the foundation of our exponential future
The way I'm seeing it, the bubble that's gonna burst is all the investments in AGI... There's no proof that all this money is going to achieve it. Even if it did, we don't know if we'll achieve it in 1 month or in 20 years, so big tech companies are selling a promise that investors are gambling on becoming true...
My hope for AI isn't that we'll achive the compute to do 100 Trillion parameters in the future... My hope is that in the near future is optimizing the compute we need. What we can do with 4~8GB of VRAM will be as good as our current high-end models that require 128GB+ of VRAM!
We're going there... It's just that most investors aren't sold this promise, but the promise of AGI.
