Sam Altman is now going to lead Microsofts #AI team.

It didnt take long for him to land on his feet.

#tech

Sort:

It looks like he is the man of the moment and all these big tech firms want to steal something from what he did at open AI.

It isnt stealing if he is a free agent.

And microsoft has most of it anyway. Remember, OpenAi run on Microsofts servers.

I did not think it would be long before he would land a good position

Nope especially if it was a planned job which some are surmising.

I was thinking that way myself

Interesting development. AI is the frontier where most of the battles will be fought in the coming years.

The guy got some real fats in his brain

What does that mean?

I think Microsoft will eat OpenAi's cake.

They had most of it on their servers anyway so it isnt as if OpenAi wasnt feeding ole Softy anyway.

Yes, Microsoft would have made a significant investment in OpenAi to have access to its technology and resources.

Eventually truth will come out, this has to be an internal MSFT Coup. The last 48 hours have been 100% Netflix material

That's the way it is, a full-fledged drama, we'll see the outcome.

What a saga! I Then get Satya from MS to fire the Open AI board. Its like Sam was playing 4D chess all along!

Actually not sure he did anything but produce. From what I could see, he was blindsided and it was a power play against.

Never bet against a guy like that who has many options.

So, he essentially left Microsoft, and got a job at Microsoft...

Guess that means OpenAI is dead and it's just Microsoft...
