Look at the trending page.
These are stupid tags to use:
- threads - no shit we are on it
- threads247 - same thing
- gosh - abused and not even tied to what is meant for
- pidgin - a fun thing people did but needs to drop off
Look at the trending page.
These are stupid tags to use:
Most of these tags are trending because of the Zealy campaign. People are using them while doing tasks.
That might be the case but Hive, Threads, and threads247 are not really part of it.
Nor is gmfrens.
We have a daily task to publish GM Frens Thread and most likely, people are using the tag because of that.
I don't know why anyone would use Threads or Threads247.
Hive also makes sense but we might have to change that.
Numbers will change it. As more people thread, they will tag what they want. Enough and we will see a massive jump.
I would like to see Hivesucre threading as one community.
Yes. For sure. 5000 MAUs & this will most probably change.
#Hivesucre is killing it on Twitter. They can bump the numbers on threads too.
Are you on mobile or desktop?
I think a lot of them are on mobile and they seem to be having issues getting on.
I use desktop so I dont know.
The mobile experience definitely needs a huge upgrade. It works for now but I am sure it is a turn-off for many users.
I use mobile while I am on the go, but always prefer desktop.
That is what gosh is for. Yet people keep using it when they put up just a thread.
I've seen that. Surely they don't earn GOSH token by doing that though.
I dont believe they do. I think it is only with the link.
that's like asking people on twitter to be responsible with their hash tags. Wen paid hashtag for sponsors?
Yea true. Hopefully we will be able to mute threads based on hashtags in the future. Also, curating good threads could be an incentive
That is a terrific idea. How would something like that work?
Yeah well there the activity is so great most gets buried.
The other thing I would like to see is under relevant people for the ability to add your profile here for a cost. used to promote a profile
You mean the profile of another?
So under me goes someone else who pays for it? That way they piggyback off my activity?
Am I understanding correctly?
It would go into the 3rd slot and be marked as paid. Would either be hourly or daily payment in Hive/HBD/LEO ? We see this on twitter via the promoted by (company) and the hash tag.
Another good idea. Are you blasting Khal with these? Or at least the feedback tag?
We need more serious discussions on Threads
Hive culture is a spammy culture. We need to focus on engagement, discussion and pushing good actions to the top. I am trying to curate Threads with a more close eye these days to encourage it
Agreed. We do need to up the level of engagement on here. Asking question is something still underutilized.
1000%. I also think a lot of Hive communities could build a presence here. We've been giving out massive $LEO POWER delegations and more communities should really take advantage of it
Great way to build and reward your users
I gave a couple 25K delegations but I dont think they are posting on Threads. Might need to undo it and see if Eric has someone else who will use it.
I will ask him.
Eh, asking the masses to ignore the incentives + collectively manage trends is like trying to drain the ocean with a spoon.
Much more effective: enact filters so individuals can manage their own trending list.
Certainly better filters are needed. Of course, we have no control over that since it is up to the devs.
In the meantime, we can attack things only on the social level.
Yes the bain of my Leo existance!
I think we should have #gibberish
With #gosh you can earn the GOSH token for sharing links to hive posts.
Except many people are using gosh without a link.
Like you just did there.
Many times I post the link and forget the gosh
LOL that is the opposite problem.
What even is pidgin?
I asked around some people that are using that tag but didn't get a reply from any of them.
If people have to look up what it is, then it is a shitty tag.
Even gmfrens is a waste.
It is time to be responsible with tags.
Wtf is pidgin?
good question bro
Exactly. Just as I told tokenized, if people have to look it up, it is a shitty tag.
