What about just quote thread? It's like retrhead, but you can add an opinion about that. And the structure could be {comment} + permlink of thread with a metadata card.
I have no idea if that option will be available.
Anytime you have an idea like that, use the #feedback tag. Khal reads them and he could add it to the development list.

Yeah well have to do things to try and keep it neat. But it is only a matter of getting in the habit of going there.

It will likely cause a doubling of the activity. Much of what I see on Twitter is retweets.
