Sam Altman is a scumbag. He is trying, once again, to use regulatory capture to protect OpenAI. He penned a letter asking the USG to ban Deepseek, claiming that it sends all data to a state actor (the CCP). That isnt true since Deepseek can run locally on a computer.
What is ironic is that you use ChatGPT, all data goes to OpenAI.
I thought banning DeepSeek was only limited to the Chinese DeepSeek website. You mean they're banning the local version too?!
