On this date in 1536:

Having been found guilty on charges of adultery, Anne Boleyn—the second wife of King Henry VIII of England and the mother of Queen Elizabeth I—was beheaded.

I hope it was some good #sex.

I reckon she was fitted up by Henry for not giving him a son. Unlike Catherine Howard, who was young, stupid, and didn't think she'd get caught. The other two Catherines were good'uns in their own different ways :)

hilarious😂. so queens were behead? interesting.

I wonder if they did it to the men who fucked around. I am going to guess not.

George Boleyn (Anne's brother, who was accused of incest with her, although the evidence was very dubious) was beheaded.

Thomas Culpepper was hung, drawn and quartered. Then he & Catherine's heads were displayed on spikes on London Bridge.

They also had an interesting way of extracting confessions.

They did, but it was far worse for commoners than nobles.

Truth there. Civil liberties werent really something they granted.

If they did, they should have added it to the history. They probably castrated him or enslaved him for the rest of his life.

Yes they didnt mess around. Plus they didnt have pain killers then. Surgery was a knife and some alcohol..

Darn, what a way to die.

At least it was quick..the actual beheading. Leading up to its wasnt though.

Must be tough for her knowing she'll be beheaded.
