King was wanted for impersonating law enforcement. He ran "Off Duty Police Services" — a website recruiting off-duty cops for side jobs — while claiming to be a cop himself. He drove a replica undercover police car with stolen license plates from a military recruiting office.
"Mike King" (an alias — real name still unreleased) worked security for Rep. Jasmine Crockett in DC and Texas, including at campaign events during her failed Senate primary run. He was paid for "security services" as recently as last year.
