I think you have blue becoming bluer and red becoming redder. If you make money in the a city like NYC, I think you will get tired of the 11% or 12% city tax (on top of all the other taxes).

Just by moving out of NYC 2 Long Island, Westchester, or New Jersey people lower their tax burden.
As 4 red/blue, if enough people move out then balance becomes lopsided, as in Washington DC (95:5 blue). W/ enough time, TX can turn blue.
Yeah or they can swing the other way. A constant battle in many states between the two.
