Metamask and Hivesigner are two different operations.
The first is an ethereum based application that allows people to sign onto Leofinance using their ETH wallets. On the back end, a hive account is established which the person can claim.
With Hivesigner, one needs a Hive account before using it.
Some might be using Meta even though they have a Hive account since they want their payouts to be converted to ETH.
