've never met a single person who admitted that they were the reason they got fired. When I worked at Bojangles, for instance, I saw a lot of employees fired who did not work when they were at work. They'd stand around the kitchen or the front line just talking, or they would go hang out in the dry storage area and gossip. Many were constantly calling out or just not showing up to work and not calling in. Yet, the story was exactly the same every time. "I was a hard worker, I did my job and always went above and beyond. They're just firing me because the manager is..."
