“The Cuban media sources Angel showed me showed the Florida registration numbers
which were FL7726SH which return to Angel’s 24ft vessel,” the report stated. “Angel stated once he got those messages he came to the vessel dock and contacted law enforcement.”
A witness told the deputy that she saw someone pull up to the property where Montera was keeping the boat in exchange for doing construction work. The individual parked his white truck next door, entered the boat and left at about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Montera informed the deputy that the truck belonged to 42-year-old Hector Duardy Cruz Correa, of Homestead, who was said to do tile work for the 65-year-old.
