Current Status and Impact
As of 2025, the GCP continues to collect data, with over 20 years of archived RNG outputs. GCP 2.0’s focus on citizen science and heart-based coherence aims to expand participation and practical applications, such as promoting global well-being. The project has inspired related research into collective consciousness, including behavioral studies like those in Scientific Reports (2023), which found that individuals with high global consciousness exhibit more cooperative behaviors.
The GCP’s open-access data and artistic visualizations (e.g., data-driven music, global maps) have also engaged non-scientific audiences, fostering discussions about consciousness and interconnectedness. However, its scientific acceptance remains limited due to methodological and theoretical challenges.
