Yes I know and like your position on ownership around HIVE, it would be good but is everyone up for it, can anyone be a digital landlord? I still think we can have a space for "common web2" users that just want to scroll endlessly on threads and bring their friends on it because it is becoming the cool place. I don't think it would be bad to capture a wider audience (how I don't know) and then hoping that a set percentage will become owner and investor in the making of this ecosystem.

People go to where there is excitement. The idea of just marketing on Web2 to bring them to Web3 failed for years. It doesnt work. Have to promote a different idea.

How often do you see ownership discussed or democratized data on Web2 platforms? If they talk about it, it is hypocritical since they are feeding Big Tech Web2 companies.

Was social media a success because traditional television and movie personalities were brought over? No. Social media (Web2) forged its own path and the stars joined later.

Well inleo is the most exiting part of Hive at the moment when I am on it, threads really made the difference for me. Adopting the twitter open source UI was a great call.

I think I start to see your point about not spending money on marketing but spending it on making the place more exiting/better for the current user and count on words of mouth and referrals to grow, I guess it could work but organic growth feels slow. It might not be a bad thing since we could consider the site still in beta as some bugs every now and then happen and it is the opportunity to catch them before having like 20k MAU.

I don't think ownership is discussed around X or instagram, people don't care about being part of those platform as a shareholder would, it is more about "consuming".

I am kind of wondering now how you got to your current way of thought about the ecosystem, is it years of research and practice, do you have some books you would recommend that talks about that in a more broader area?

It was through reading articles, watching what people are doing, and how things are unfolding.

Web3 is reead-write-own yet I dont see much in the way of ownership mentality. Too many behave like users and not owners. They bitch and complain but dont take responsibility...they want others to do it.

As for the MAUs, keep building the features and pushing the numbers up ourselves. Eventually others will see it. I am optimistic about #leoshorts once it is fully implemented. That is something to leverage.

But people have to be sure to go over the top with what they are doing. If we want $100 million in market cap, that is required.

Alas, few know how to be successful I guess.

Thanks for taking the time for the long reply.

Looks like we will have a lot of work ahead of us, I like the journey already.

Well if something is worth that much, it isnt easy. We do have a lot of work but have to do it. A lot of action is required.
