I think it's quite possible... that kind of feature is very common to a lot of games of the same style as Splinterlands and eventually most of them end up adding exactly it or something very similar. I guess we'll see

Scarcity of cards is a major consideration. It could be done the normal way, or it could be done using some other innovation in the game. We shall see.

I believe you can have both things though... I've seen it before but maybe its not healthy for the current state of the game

Yea I don't think so. At least with the current model, I think it would make the game lose it's charm if it were to go the breeding route.

Only time will tell. It's also possible the dev team could come up with a twist on something no one here had considered. Tag teams, battle royales, new formats-- I have no idea as I spit out these ideas.
